Retired Army Major Charles "Dick" Beamer, Ph.D
 was Senator Espero's honorary campaign chairman.  92 years young, Mr. Beamer was affectionately known as the Mayor of Ewa Beach.  He had been very active with the Ewa Beach Lions Club, Ewa Neighborhood Board, Ewa Beach Boys and Girls Club, Democratic Party of Hawaii, and other organizations throughout the years.
